Mike’s expertise has allowed him to serve as an adjudicator for the Guitar Center Drum Off, the World's Largest Drum Competition! Mike has performed with the Hip Pickles, the Sunrisers Drum & Bugle Corps, pit orchestras for many musicals, various contemporary ensembles, and seven albums including Chicago the Musical ,Jesus Christ Superstar, and Bad Ideas: a New Musical by Joshua Z. Kant. He has been coached by Kim Monroe, Chet Doboe, Jerry Nobile, Dave Rataczjak, and Tobias Ralph. Known for his pulsating, high energy grooves, he draws inspiration from Dennis Chambers, Ziggy Modeliste and John Bonham. Mike is currently on faculty at the BOCES Cultural Arts Center, Long Island's public high school for the visual and performing arts. He also teaches drum lessons at Drummers World, located in the heart of New York City. His online musical instrument store is affiliated with zZounds and he donates a portion of all sales to charity. Mike is currently performing on various projects with the Emmy Award Winning Kim Oler; the staff composer on ABC’s All My Children. He also performs on various projects with Jeannine Otis, featured soloist on the on the dance rendition of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”, which reached the Top Ten on the High Energy Dance Charts in the USA, UK, Italy, and Australia.
