ASCAP is an acronym for the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers. ASCAP s a membership association of more than 400,000 U.S. composers, songwriters, lyricists, and music publishers of every kind of music. This huge annual event is open to both ASCAP and non-ASCAP members. In fact, it is the single largest event for songwriters, composers, and producers in the world.
Enjoy jam-packed event for 3 full days of non-stop networking, educational panels, live performances and pure inspiration. Some of this years panelists include Bernie Worrell, Vernon Reid, and Fergie. Master producer Desmond Child will be giving masterclasses.
Even if you don’t go to the classes and just hang out near the food vendors (where I will probably be most of the time), you will get so much out of this event.
The 2011 ASCAP “I Create Music” Expo will be in Hollywood, California at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel.
