I’ve shared before about how important it is to get people talking about mental health. The more frequent these types of conversations become, the easier our fight will be to transform the stigma surrounding mental health. So I want to highlight a podcast that is working to do that very thing.
Dear Mind, You Matter is a mental health podcast hosted by Allison Walsh and Dr. Angela Phillips. The podcast is working to “demystify mental health conditions and provide you with advice and resources to take better care of your mental health.”
Their podcast episodes cover a wide range of topics that people can benefit from. A few examples of the episodes include:
- Why Boundaries and Self-Care are Impactful with Minaa B., LMSW
- Adverse Childhood Experiences are Not Destiny with Amber Anderson
- How Out Understanding of Trauma Shapes Us with Lisa Ferentz
- Divorce and Learning to Lean into the Mess with Dr. Elizabeth Cohen
- Trauma, The Subconscious Brain and Helping the Next Human Along with Dr. Rob Kelly
I was recently honored to be a guest on the podcast as well. In Dear Mind, You Matter episode 9, I spoke with the hosts about meditation, corporate wellness, transforming shame through self-care and the difference between self-care and escape activities.
If you’re interested in learning more about mental health in general and the tools that can help empower you to feel your best and be emotionally well, I encourage you to check out the Dear Mind, You Matter podcast.
