Mike Veny, Inc. is IACET Accredited to Award CEUs

I want to share with you a little bit about Mike Veny, Inc. getting its IACET accreditation and what that means for you. IACET stands for the International Accreditors of Continuing Education and Training. And I think it’s important that you know, a little bit about why I made the decision to get the company accredited and what the process was.

Back in 2020 before the pandemic, in early February, I was on the beach by myself and I had a venti Starbucks blonde roast coffee. I don’t know why I’m telling you that, but it was in my hand. And, I was thinking a lot about the work that I’ve done. I’ve been very fortunate to do a lot of different programs and write a book. And I get emails from people every day just thanking me for something that I did or said and how I’ve changed their life.

It’s humbling to know that my work has had such a positive effect on people. And I started thinking about death, my own death. I was thinking about the fact that I’m going to die at some point and what’s going to happen with all my work.

So I decided that one of the best ways I could leave a legacy is to set up my company to be a continuing education company and what that would do is it would give me an opportunity to raise the standard of what we’re doing and also give people, CEUs.

And one of the reasons I chose IACET is because their standard is, I believe, the highest in the continuing education industry and the process for getting accredited is rigorous. And I mean, I can’t even begin to go into the details. But it was a long year and a half let’s just say of putting together the application and going back and forth with them and making sure that my company was up to their standards. I’m a big believer in excellence being in the details, and they helped me live out that value of mine.

So what this means now is that my courses and courses that I decided to create for continuing education can give CEUs and certain presentations that I do can give CEUs. This way, in addition to just going to a presentation or taking a course, you can get some credit for it that you can use in the future.

We’re excited to roll this out. It’s a little scary, but it’s been something that I’ve been working on for a year and a half. I really wanted to get this right, so I could help others get the most out of my company’s mission. So this way, long after I’m gone, my company can still live on with training that helps people receive the gift of emotional wellness. That’s what I want.

And so if you’d like to be notified when new courses and training material becomes available (and receive discounts from time to time) sign up here

Thank you.

I think there are a lot of people who have a false view of what depression feels like and looks like, especially in men. When they think of depression they think of someone being sad, withdrawn, quiet, and down. But, for many men, including myself, d...
