Giving and supporting causes that I believe in are very important to me. I find inspiration in the song, "Waiting on the World to Change" by John Mayer. Mayer's message is that the world isn’t going to change by itself. I've come to realize that I can create change through helping and serving others in my own unique way. This has been the entire focus of my career and my life as a whole.

My name is Mike Veny and I'm a professional drummer in New York City.
Drumming is my passion and I have been studying it since 1989.
As a child, I was inspired by the musical interludes on the show, Sesame Street.
I perform with Kim Oler, an Emmy Award winning composer for ABC’s All My Children, As the World Turns, The Tracey Ullman Show, and The Guiding Light.
I also perform with Sean 360x & the universoul spiRitual Ankhestra alongside percussionist Ramsey Jones of the Wu-Tang Clan family. He is a MySpace chartopping artist & has been #1 on the ReverbNation Electronica/Dance charts for over 16 weeks.
Currently, I have a private drum lesson practice with students of all ages.
I also enjoy facilitating drum circles.
I absolutely love drumming to music that requires a strong back beat!
